CORPORATE AND DIVISION STAFF
The corporate and division staffs will provide supervision and direction to the hotels on a daily basis. The corporation is structured to support all activities of the hotel operating divisions to ensure an emphasis on quality and service. This extensive support enables operating divisions to tap the necessary resources to meet unusual circumstances or opportunities in a timely manner and with expert assistance. The corporate staff also provides expertise and guidance to enable hotel unit to meet operating standards and fiscal budget goals.
ACCOUNTING/MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS
The Accounting Department provides a complete range of accounting and financial services to the corporation, including internal auditing, production of sales and management reports, operating statements, payroll and budget analysis, operating budgets, accounts receivable/payable, and payroll. Reporting to the Vice President, the department maintains a complete, computerized inventory control system. The accounting staff also assists management with financial planning, cash management and capital expenditure controls. Supported by a contracted corporate MIS staff Commercial Management Company operates a computer network, which provides a sophisticated management information intranet system as well as the transmission of data to and from units. Such data may include rate revenue management, sales, average daily rates and occupancy levels.
HUMAN RESOURCES
The Human Resources Department will manage both DRI/CMC including the Hospitality Division employee benefits programs and labor relation's issues. They will oversee maintaining the Company's comprehensive and extremely effective Affirmative Action Plan. Human Resources also plays an advocacy role in dealing with critical concerns affecting employee/management relations and maintains open lines of communication with all levels of management for timely handling of benefit questions and quick resolution of grievances. The department ensures compliance with employment laws and government reporting requirements.
EMPLOYEE/ MANAGEMENT EDUCATION PROGRAMS
Commercial Management Company Hospitality Division, as part of its serious effort to meet the challenges of the future, has made a strong corporate commitment to training. It has paid dividends, as we provide opportunities for our valued team members to gain the necessary skills via industry educational training programs. As we are committed to quality service, and guest satisfaction, we believe in promoting from within and ongoing management development programs insures we will develop team members from within. Employees may participate in an Individual Development Program and apply for industry-related continuing education credits. In this way, employees may further themselves; improve goodwill and morale in the process.
SALES & MARKETING
Every hotel in the Commercial Management Company Hospitality Division has a dedicated sales manager responsible for the overall room revenue levels of their property. Our Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing oversees the on-property sales personnel who are committed to generating new business while cultivating relationships with repeat clients and seeking new business opportunities which is shared on the company intranet system. The Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing along with the Vice President of Hotel Operations has implemented a specific benchmark reporting system to measure results versus budgetary goals. Commercial Management Company Hospitality Division maintains a national presence at such industry conventions as American Bus Association, National Tour Association, Society of Government Meeting Planners, Employee Relocation Council, and American Society of Training & Development. These organizations provide an appropriate forum for marketing the unique features and locations of the Commercial Management Company Hospitality Division's portfolio. The personal contacts gained by attending the industry trade shows have a powerful impact on decision makers.
IN-HOUSE AD AGENCY
Collateral materials to support our portfolio's marketing efforts are produced by the Commercial Management Company's Sales & Marketing staff and a contracted Web Master, which are skilled in all phases of the advertising and public relations process-from concept and design through camera-ready copy production generated by advanced computer systems. With the internal input and approval of CMC's operating personnel, our hospitality staff of marketing professionals will produce attractive and effective, brochures, radio spots, Internet pages, and any other marketing materials deemed fitting and necessary to promote our properties. Additionally, a savings of up to 15% on ad placements can be realized.
PURCHASING DEPARTMENT
The Purchasing Department has responsibility for price negotiation and purchase of all supplies, food and services according to Commercial Management Company Hospitality Division established specifications. The division obtains the best price and quality while ensuring a convenient and reliable supply of goods. Commercial Management Company Hospitality Division is very proud of its purchasing skills and track record, which are essentially the beginning of the chain of effective cost controls.
